i was informed yesterday morning after insectadventure1 that i had chosen the wrong candidate for insect-buster! haha. someone almost as bad as me!(according to aravind la.) now i feel bad. but i shall award bravery points!! (:
coincidentally, my neighbour had her own insectadventures yesterday too! and after that i refused to open my window for the entire day.

I slept at 10.30 pm(early, huh?!) to make up for lost sleep the night before. Woke up feeling refreshed and stuff at about 5am.
At about 5.30, the adventure began.
Some ugly bug flew into my window and landed on the floor beneath my desk. It kinda landed with a zzz sound. So i turned to take a look. At first glance, I thought it was a beetle, brown, ugly and all. So I paid no attention to it and continued to do my work. It scurried along and disappeared the next time I lifted my head from my books.
About 10 min later, (after finishing my amino acid lecture notes), I turned around and guess what? I saw this ugly, 1-inch adolescent cockroach on my wall. Next to my bed. Yucks! That stupid brown, beetle looking insect was actually a cockroach!!!!! :(:(:(
Horrifying, really.
Disgusting.
Ewww.
I now had two options, either to kill it or to let it go.
Now, usually I would call my dad in this situation. I'm particularly scared of cockroaches that can fly. Those grounded ones are ok, cos they can't run very far and fast. Cockroaches that can fly are scary.. They can fly in any direction or even land on your face! :( Yah, imagine a little tiny adolescent cockroach landing on your hair or even smirking on your forehead. Ewww. Sends shudders down my spine, really. But anyway, it was 5.30 am in the morning and it wouldn't be very considerate if i screamed or woke my neighbours up to kill a cockroach right?!
Anyway, before I could recover from my fear, the Cockroach (let's call it mr c) flew and landed on the door of my cupboard. That was when I decided to kill it, lest it multiplied and laid eggs and begot more offspring. (Yes, I know, it was an adolescent. It wasn't very big, meaning that there was a low possibility that it would lay eggs and stuff. Yes, and i just called it a mr, not a ms or missus. Heh. Anyway, u'd agree that one less cockroach on this earth wouldn't kill right? :D)
Haha.. Actually mr c landed on a place that was too high for me to reach. (Lol.. short me). Thankfully it suddenly took off and landed on the wall next to my bed again.
Haha.. I almost hit mr c with my hands on impulse cos it was really irritating. But, I remembered denis telling me about how disgusting cockroach juice was. So I took a piece of tissue, grabbed mr c before it could fly and squashed it.

anyway i saw yanmin today! (: it was lovely seeing you dear, so radiant! heh while we medics have been accumulating eyebags 0_0 hee. and barbecue last night was niceee .. mmm.. nesa-the-cook is indeed a wonder!
